Coyotes communicate by howling. The human blabbermouths whose ceaseless howling makes reason obsolete seek not to communicate, but to prevent communication. They know that if they stop yammering, just possibly their listeners might think about what's been said. This must not be allowed to happen. I would say therefore that it is wrong to speak of coyotes in the same message. They're honorable beasts, and deserve better.

What a great observation. The poem and your comments are in total sync. I love the "howling and barking" analogy to the loud and stupid braying of the Tea Party group and the Limbaughs and Becks on the radio and TV.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the whole thing it permeates our daily life, but you are right. It really has little to do with actual living.
