"Give Santa A Big Hand!"

LOL - made my day. The memories our kids give us...I have a human baby sized felt Christmas stocking my youngest went home from the hospital in (Dec 18th, 1984). We used to hang it up every year, but I think I gave it to said daughter a couple of years ago when she had her own home and tree.

There is something about Christmas ornaments that bring forth nostalgia. As you unpack them you remember the year that you first acquired the ornament and that brings the memory of that particular Christmas.

I have missed that the past two years. Last year I had just gotten out of rehab and was in no shape to unpack ornaments and this year a fall made it too painful to lift the boxes. I had to find my nostalgia in watching my daughter and granddaughters decorate their tree. Somehow, it wasn't the same.
