My son-in-law has taken a turn for the worse, and we are basically in "it will take a miracle" status now. I refuse to write him off. All I can think about are Daughter and Granddaughter. Young people in America have been waiting 40 years for a place to put their idealism and energy, now finally there's a home for it. Obama is only one man, but he sure brings out the best in folks. Yes we can, indeed! Last night while watching the results on the internet, my son reminded me that I had said to him that things were really going to change now that Clinton was elected (in '92). I have no memory of saying (or even thinking!) that, and in retrospect it's kind of embarrassing, but I'm going to believe it again anyway.
