The silence of the class then indicated to me what a stupid question I was asking, but I found out later that all it really meant was that they didn't have a clue either. I was mortified at the time but vindicated on the next science exam. I just read Sweeney Among the Nightingales and I'd be at a loss trying to figure out the murder too. The Emperor Has No Clothes!
